Hello Visitors,
On behalf of the entire University, I am pleased to extend a sincere Rhody welcome to our campus and
greater Rhode Island community! I am certain you will 昀椀nd URI just as welcoming as I did when I joined
as president three years ago. In fact, everywhere I go, I am reminded of how incredible the people and
this place truly are—Rhody pride runs deep, and I am pleased to introduce you to our diverse and vibrant
community. You are visiting URI at an exciting time. We have launched our 10-year strategic plan, and we
have ambitious goals to build a university of the future — one that generations of URI students, faculty, sta昀昀,
alumni, and friends can and will continue to be proud of.
We are Rhode Island’s University, and in the next decade we will broaden our
impact on the state and the world, serving as a hub for innovation and ideas.
You are invited to join us and embark on your own academic journey with the
resources and support of the University behind you.
